Glfer is composed of two main parts: a spectrogram window, where you can see the spectrum of the received signal vs. time and transmission functions, to emit cw characters at a slow but precisely controlled speed, using the QRSS (slow CW) or DFCW (Dual Frequency CW) modes.

There are three methods to install glfer on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install glfer Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install glfer using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install glfer

Install glfer Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install glfer using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install glfer

Install glfer Using aptitude
