How To Install geogebra on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install geogebra on Kali Linux. geogebra is Dynamic mathematics software for education

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install geogebra on Kali Linux.

What is geogebra

geogebra is:

GeoGebra is a dynamic geometry program. You can do constructions with points, vectors, segments, lines, conic sections as well as functions and change them dynamically afterwards. On the other hand, equations and coordinates can be entered directly.

Support for many geometric constructions is provided, as well as support for many calculus-based tools (derivatives, osculating circle, …).

GeoGebra files can be exported in many different formats, or as interactive applets for web pages.

There are three methods to install geogebra on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install geogebra Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install geogebra using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install geogebra

Install geogebra Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install geogebra using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install geogebra

Install geogebra Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install geogebra using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install geogebra

How To Uninstall geogebra on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the geogebra package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove geogebra

Uninstall geogebra And Its Dependencies

To uninstall geogebra and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove geogebra

Remove geogebra Configurations and Data

To remove geogebra configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge geogebra

Remove geogebra configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove geogebra configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
