How To Install eot-utils on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install eot-utils on Kali Linux.
What is eot-utils
eot-utils is:
The eot-utils are the two programs mkeot and eotinfo. The former creates an EOT (Embedded OpenType) file from an OpenType or TrueType font and the URLs of one or more Web pages. mkeot respects the TrueType embedding bits. The eotinfo program displays the contents of an EOT header in a human-readable way.
There are three methods to install eot-utils on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install eot-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install eot-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install eot-utilsInstall eot-utils Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install eot-utils using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install eot-utilsInstall eot-utils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install eot-utils using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the eot-utils package we can use the following command:

To uninstall eot-utils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove eot-utilsRemove eot-utils Configurations and Data
To remove eot-utils configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge eot-utilsRemove eot-utils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
