How To Install duc-nox on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install duc-nox on Kali Linux.
What is duc-nox
duc-nox is:
Duc maintains a database of accumulated sizes of directories of the file system, and allows you to query this database with some tools.
Duc comes with console utilities, ncursesw and a CGI wrapper for disk usage querying and visualisation.
Duc is designed to scale to huge filesystems: it will index and display hundreds of millions of files on petabytes of storage without problems.
This package provides the console version of the duc.
There are three methods to install duc-nox on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install duc-nox Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install duc-nox using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install duc-noxInstall duc-nox Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install duc-nox using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install duc-noxInstall duc-nox Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install duc-nox using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install duc-noxHow To Uninstall duc-nox on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the duc-nox package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove duc-noxUninstall duc-nox And Its Dependencies
To uninstall duc-nox and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove duc-noxRemove duc-nox Configurations and Data
To remove duc-nox configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge duc-noxRemove duc-nox configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
