How To Install drbd-utils on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install drbd-utils on Kali Linux.
What is drbd-utils
drbd-utils is:
Drbd is a block device which is designed to build high availability clusters by providing a virtual shared device which keeps disks in nodes synchronised using TCP/IP. This simulates RAID 1 but avoiding the use of uncommon hardware (shared SCSI buses or Fibre Channel). It is currently limited to fail-over HA clusters.
This package contains the programs that will control the drbd kernel module provided in the Linux kernel.
There are three methods to install drbd-utils on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install drbd-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install drbd-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install drbd-utilsInstall drbd-utils Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install drbd-utils using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the drbd-utils package we can use the following command:

To remove drbd-utils configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
