How To Install dovecot-lucene on Kali Linux

Dovecot is a mail server whose major goals are security and extreme reliability. It supports mbox/Maildir and its own dbox/mdbox formats, and should also be pretty fast, extensible, and portable.

This package provides Lucene full text search support for Dovecot.

There are three methods to install dovecot-lucene on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
