How To Install dlt-tools on Kali Linux

This component provides a log and trace interface, based on the standardised protocol specified in the AUTOSAR standard 4.0 DLT. This software can be used by GENIVI components and other applications as logging facility.
This package includes tools to connect to and experiment with DLT daemon. Most usefully this includes ‘dlt-receive’ to connect to a (remote) DLT server and save all logs to a DLT file and ‘dlt-system’ that injects system logs into the DLT server
There are three methods to install dlt-tools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dlt-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dlt-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dlt-toolsInstall dlt-tools Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install dlt-tools using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
