What is dbd

dbd is:

dbd is a Netcat-clone, designed to be portable and offer strong encryption. It runs on Unix-like operating systems and on Microsoft Win32. dbd features AES-CBC-128 + HMAC-SHA1 encryption (by Christophe Devine), program execution (-e option), choosing source port, continuous reconnection with delay, and some other nice features. dbd supports TCP/IP communication only. Source code and binaries are distributed under the GNU General Public License.

There are three methods to install dbd on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install dbd Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install dbd using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install dbd

Install dbd Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install dbd using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install dbd

Install dbd Using aptitude
