How To Install compiz-gnome on Kali Linux

Compiz brings to life a variety of visual effects that make the Linux desktop easier to use, more powerful and intuitive, and more accessible for users with special needs.
This package contains a window decorator that uses Gtk to provide a look and feel similar to that of the marco window manager.
There are three methods to install compiz-gnome on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install compiz-gnome Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install compiz-gnome using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install compiz-gnomeInstall compiz-gnome Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install compiz-gnome using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install compiz-gnomeInstall compiz-gnome Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install compiz-gnome using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the compiz-gnome package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove compiz-gnomeRemove compiz-gnome Configurations and Data
To remove compiz-gnome configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge compiz-gnomeRemove compiz-gnome configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
