How To Install cinnamon-session on Kali Linux

What is cinnamon-session
cinnamon-session is:
The Cinnamon Session Manager is in charge of starting the core components of the Cinnamon desktop, and applications that should be launched at login time. It also features a way to save and restore currently running applications.
This package contains the binaries for the Cinnamon Session Manager, but no startup scripts. It is meant for those willing to start cinnamon-session by hand with the components of their choice, and for applications such as MDM that use cinnamon-session internally.
There are three methods to install cinnamon-session on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cinnamon-session Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cinnamon-session using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cinnamon-sessionInstall cinnamon-session Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cinnamon-session using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cinnamon-sessionInstall cinnamon-session Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cinnamon-session using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the cinnamon-session package we can use the following command:

To uninstall cinnamon-session and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cinnamon-sessionRemove cinnamon-session Configurations and Data
To remove cinnamon-session configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cinnamon-sessionRemove cinnamon-session configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
