What is cdde

cdde is:

CDDE is a program that detects when a CD/DVD-ROM drive has a disc inserted. When it finds a disc inserted in the drive it will attempt to determine the type of the disc, and execute a specified command. This means a DVD can be inserted and your favorite DVD software will start, or a data CD can be automatically mounted, etc. The commands are defined in a configuration file that has simple XML syntax.

There are three methods to install cdde on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install cdde Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install cdde using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install cdde

Install cdde Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install cdde using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install cdde

Install cdde Using aptitude
