This gem provides a command line utility to turn images into ASCII art. It can be used as an executable which may be called from the terminal as well as a library so that it can be used in other programs.

There are three methods to install asciiart on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install asciiart Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
