What is zziplib
The zziplib library is intentionally lightweight, it offers the ability to easily extract data from files archived in a single zip file. Applications can bundle files into a single zip archive and access them. The implementation is based only on the (free) subset of compression with the zlib algorithm which is actually used by the zip/unzip tools. We can use yum
or dnf
to install zziplib
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install zziplib.
Install zziplib on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install zziplib
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install zziplib
Install zziplib on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install zziplib
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install zziplib
How To Uninstall zziplib on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the zziplib
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove zziplib
