It features a strong through-the-web development model, allowing you to update your web site from anywhere in the world. To allow for this, Zope also features a tightly integrated security model. Built around the concept of “safe delegation of control”, Zope’s security architecture also allows you to turn control over parts of a web site to other organizations or individuals.

This package contains the framework and libraries needed to run your own Zope 2.13 instance.

There are three methods to install zope2.13 on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install zope2.13 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install zope2.13 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install zope2.13

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install zope2.13 using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install zope2.13

Install zope2.13 Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install zope2.13 using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install zope2.13

How To Uninstall zope2.13 on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the zope2.13 package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove zope2.13

Uninstall zope2.13 And Its Dependencies

To uninstall zope2.13 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove zope2.13

Remove zope2.13 Configurations and Data

To remove zope2.13 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge zope2.13

Remove zope2.13 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove zope2.13 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge zope2.13
