How To Install zookeeper on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install zookeeper on Kali Linux.
What is zookeeper
zookeeper is:
ZooKeeper is a centralized, reliable, service for maintaining configuration information, naming, providing distributed synchronization, and group services. All of these kinds of services are used in some form or another by distributed applications.
This package contains the shell scripts and an example configuration but does not automatically start up the service. The example configuration is installed with the update-alternatives mechanism.
There are three methods to install zookeeper on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install zookeeper Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install zookeeper using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install zookeeperInstall zookeeper Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install zookeeper using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install zookeeperInstall zookeeper Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install zookeeper using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install zookeeperHow To Uninstall zookeeper on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the zookeeper package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove zookeeperUninstall zookeeper And Its Dependencies
To uninstall zookeeper and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove zookeeperRemove zookeeper Configurations and Data
To remove zookeeper configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge zookeeperRemove zookeeper configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove zookeeper configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge zookeeperDependencies
