How To Install zephyr-server on Debian 9

on Debian 9.
What is zephyr-server
zephyr-server is:
Zephyr is derived from the original Project Athena ‘Instant Message’ system and allows users to send messages to other users or to groups of users. Users can view incoming Zephyr messages as windowgrams (transient X windows) or as text on a terminal.
This package provides the server for the messaging service, which maintains a location and subscription database for all the receiving clients. All zephyrgrams are sent to the server to be routed to the intended recipient. Only one server is required for a group of clients.
There are three methods to install zephyr-server
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install zephyr-server Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install zephyr-server
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install zephyr-server

Install zephyr-server Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install zephyr-server
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install zephyr-server
How To Uninstall zephyr-server on Debian 9
To uninstall only the zephyr-server
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove zephyr-server

sudo apt-get -y autoremove zephyr-server
