How To Install yorick-svipc on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install yorick-svipc on Kali Linux.

What is yorick-svipc

yorick-svipc is:

This package allows one to access the System V Interprocess communication mechanisms from within Yorick:

• message queues;
• semaphore sets;
• shared memory segments. It also exposes related functionality, in particular fork().

This plug-in serves primarily two use cases:

• parallel (multiprocess) computing;
• mixed applications (eg. yorick/python).

A sibling package is available for Python (python3-svipc).

There are three methods to install yorick-svipc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install yorick-svipc Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install yorick-svipc using apt-get by running the following command:
