What is yorick-imutil
yorick-imutil is:
Compiled routines for basic but fast image manipulation in yorick (an interpreted computer language specialized for numerical and scientific problems). Includes 2d bilinear and spline2 interpolation, clipping, 2d dist generator, binning, image rotation, cartesian to polar coordinate transform, gaussian and poisson random generator, fast sort and fast median. All of these functions, with the exceptions of spline2, exist in yorick or the yutils package, but these versions are 2 to 10x faster, being specialized for 2d arrays (hence the name imutil). This plugin is 64bits safe.
There are three methods to install yorick-imutil
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install yorick-imutil
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install yorick-imutil
How To Uninstall yorick-imutil on Debian 9
To uninstall only the yorick-imutil
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove yorick-imutil
Uninstall yorick-imutil And Its Dependencies
To uninstall yorick-imutil
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove yorick-imutil
