What is yersinia
Yersinia is a network tool designed to take advantage of some weakeness in different network protocols. It pretends to be a solid framework for analyzing and testing the deployed networks and systems. Currently, there are some network protocols implemented, but others are coming (tell us which one is your preferred). We can use yum or dnf to install yersinia on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install yersinia.
Install yersinia on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install yersinia using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install yersinia
Install yersinia on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install yersinia using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install yersinia
How To Uninstall yersinia on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the yersinia package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove yersinia
