How To Install ycmd on Kali Linux

What is ycmd

ycmd is a server that provides APIs for code-completion and other code-comprehension use-cases like semantic GoTo commands (and others). For certain filetypes, ycmd can also provide diagnostic errors and warnings.
There are three methods to install ycmd
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install ycmd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ycmd
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ycmd

Install ycmd Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude

using aptitude

How To Uninstall ycmd on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ycmd
