How To Install yade-doc on Debian 9

What is yade-doc
yade-doc is:
Yet Another Dynamic Engine.
Extensible open-source framework for discrete numerical models, focused on Discrete Element Method. The computation parts are written in c++ using flexible object model, allowing independent implementation of new algorithms and interfaces. Python is used for rapid and concise scene construction, simulation control, postprocessing and debugging.
This package contains examples, test scripts and documentation.
There are three methods to install yade-doc
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install yade-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install yade-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install yade-doc

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install yade-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install yade-doc
Install yade-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install yade-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install yade-doc
How To Uninstall yade-doc on Debian 9
To uninstall only the yade-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove yade-doc
Uninstall yade-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall yade-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove yade-doc
Remove yade-doc Configurations and Data
To remove yade-doc
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge yade-doc
