How To Install xrestop on Ubuntu 18.04

What is xrestop
xrestop is:
xrestop uses the X-Resource extension to provide top(1)-like statistics for each connected X11 client’s server-side resource usage. It is intended as a developer tool to aid more efficient server resource usage and debug server-side resource leakage.
xrestop requires the X-Resource extension, supported by XFree86 4.3 and above, and by the freedesktop.org X server.
There are three methods to install xrestop on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xrestop Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xrestop using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install xrestop
Install xrestop Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install xrestop using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install xrestop

To remove xrestop configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xrestop
