How To Install xpaint on Ubuntu 18.04

What is xpaint
xpaint is:
XPaint is suitable for producing simple graphics. It does offer some advanced features such as image processing functions and gradient fill.
In the C Script Editor of XPaint, the External editor in the File menu will invoke x-terminal-emulator -e sensible-editor.
The gv package will be needed for PDF/PS reading, netpbm will be needed for external conversion, lpr for printing.
There are three methods to install xpaint on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xpaint Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install xpaint using apt by running the following command:

Install xpaint Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install xpaint using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install xpaint
How To Uninstall xpaint on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the xpaint package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove xpaint
Uninstall xpaint And Its Dependencies
To uninstall xpaint and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove xpaint
Remove xpaint Configurations and Data
To remove xpaint configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xpaint
Remove xpaint configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove xpaint configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge xpaint
