How To Install xmorph on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install xmorph on Kali Linux.
What is xmorph
xmorph is:
Xmorph loads, saves, warps, and dissolves images, and loads, saves, creates, and manipulates control meshes which determine the warping. The technique was invented and first used by Industrial Light and Magic, and is commonly called “morphing”.
Xmorph uses the Targa image format exclusively. Other software is needed to convert to other image formats or to movies. (Due to a bug, Xmorph’s images are unreadable by John Bradley’s XV.)
xmorph is a GUI for libmorph, using the X Toolkit; the package also contains a text-only program called morph.
There are three methods to install xmorph on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xmorph Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install xmorph using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install xmorphInstall xmorph Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install xmorph using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install xmorphInstall xmorph Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install xmorph using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install xmorphHow To Uninstall xmorph on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the xmorph package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove xmorphUninstall xmorph And Its Dependencies
To uninstall xmorph and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove xmorphRemove xmorph Configurations and Data
To remove xmorph configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xmorphRemove xmorph configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove xmorph configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge xmorphDependencies
