How To Install xidle on Ubuntu 18.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install xidle on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is xidle
xidle is:
xidle runs a specific program after a certain amount of inactivity time, or when the mouse cursor is moved to an edge of the screen for a certain time, all of which is configurable. It is commonly used to run xlock.
There are three methods to install xidle on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xidle Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xidle using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install xidle using apt by running the following command:

Install xidle Using aptitude

sudo apt-get -y autoremove xidle
Remove xidle Configurations and Data
To remove xidle configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xidle
