How To Install xfsprogs on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install xfsprogs on Kali Linux.
What is xfsprogs
xfsprogs is:
A set of commands to use the XFS filesystem, including mkfs.xfs.
XFS is a high performance journaling filesystem which originated on the SGI IRIX platform. It is completely multi-threaded, can support large files and large filesystems, extended attributes, variable block sizes, is extent based, and makes extensive use of Btrees (directories, extents, free space) to aid both performance and scalability.

There are three methods to install xfsprogs on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xfsprogs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install xfsprogs using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install xfsprogsInstall xfsprogs Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install xfsprogs using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install xfsprogs using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the xfsprogs package we can use the following command:

To remove xfsprogs configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
