How To Install xforms on Rocky Linux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install xforms
on Rocky Linux 8.
What is xforms
XForms is a GUI toolkit based on Xlib for X Window Systems. It features a rich set of objects, such as buttons, sliders, browsers, and menus etc. integrated into an easy and efficient object/event callback execution model that allows fast and easy construction of X-applications. In addition, the library is extensible and new objects can easily be created and added to the library.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install xforms
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install xforms.
Install xforms on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install xforms
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install xforms
Install xforms on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install xforms
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install xforms
How To Uninstall xforms on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the xforms
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove xforms
