How To Install xfig-libs on Ubuntu 18.04

What is xfig-libs
xfig-libs is:
XFig is a menu-driven tool that allows the user to draw and manipulate objects interactively in an X window. The resulting pictures can be saved. If the fig2dev program is installed, which is contained in the fig2dev package, the pictures can be printed on postscript printers or converted to a variety of other formats (e.g. to allow inclusion in LaTeX documents or web pages).
This package contains several clip art libraries including arrows, flowcharts, charts, labels, knitting, GUI, chemical process flowsheets, logic, digital signal processing, Entity Relationship diagrams, UML, electronic, electrical, hospital equipment, structural analysis, optics, audiovisual objects, computers, networks, mechanical (DIN), music, welding, office equipment, furniture, buildings, flags, maps and several examples.
There are three methods to install xfig-libs on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xfig-libs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xfig-libs using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install xfig-libs using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install xfig-libs
Install xfig-libs Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install xfig-libs using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install xfig-libs
How To Uninstall xfig-libs on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the xfig-libs package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove xfig-libs
Uninstall xfig-libs And Its Dependencies
To uninstall xfig-libs and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove xfig-libs
Remove xfig-libs Configurations and Data
To remove xfig-libs configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xfig-libs
Remove xfig-libs configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove xfig-libs configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge xfig-libs
