How To Install xfig on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is xfig
xfig is:
XFig is a menu-driven tool that allows the user to draw and manipulate objects interactively in an X window. The resulting pictures can be saved. If the fig2dev program is installed, which is contained in the fig2dev package, the pictures can be printed on postscript printers or converted to a variety of other formats (e.g. to allow inclusion in LaTeX documents or web pages).
This package contains the xfig program itself.
You should think about installing the fig2dev package to export the graphics to several common formats. You should also think about installing xfig-doc, which contains the documentation and xfig-libs, which contains several clip art libraries.
There are three methods to install xfig
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install xfig Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xfig
using apt-get

Install xfig Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install xfig
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install xfig
How To Uninstall xfig on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the xfig
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove xfig
Uninstall xfig And Its Dependencies
To uninstall xfig
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove xfig
Remove xfig Configurations and Data
To remove xfig
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xfig
Remove xfig configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove xfig
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge xfig
