The Xfce Screenshooter utility allows you to capture the entire screen, the active window or a selected region. You can set the delay that elapses before the screenshot is taken and the action that will be done with the screenshot save it to a PNG file, copy it to the clipboard, or open it using another application.
We can use yum or dnf to install xfce4-screenshooter on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install xfce4-screenshooter.
Install xfce4-screenshooter on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install xfce4-screenshooter using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install xfce4-screenshooter
Install xfce4-screenshooter on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install xfce4-screenshooter using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install xfce4-screenshooter
How To Uninstall xfce4-screenshooter on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the xfce4-screenshooter package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove xfce4-screenshooter
