What is xfce4-mailwatch-plugin
Mailwatch is a plugin for the Xfce 4 panel. It is intended to replace the current (4.0, 4.2) mail checker plugin in Xfce 4.4. It supports IMAP and POP, local mailboxes in Mbox, Maildir and MH-Maildir format as well as Gmail.
We can use yum or dnf to install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin.
Install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin
Install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install xfce4-mailwatch-plugin
How To Uninstall xfce4-mailwatch-plugin on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the xfce4-mailwatch-plugin package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove xfce4-mailwatch-plugin
