How To Install xara-gtk on Debian 9

What is xara-gtk
xara-gtk is:
ara is a utility for searching the Debian package database using boolean regexp queries.
ara can perform sophisticated searches on that database. It is possible to use any field of the package database as a search criterion and any boolean combination thereof.
ara can also call APT (or any user-configurable command) to install or remove packages matching a query.
There are three methods to install xara-gtk on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xara-gtk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xara-gtk using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install xara-gtk
Install xara-gtk Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install xara-gtk using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install xara-gtk
Install xara-gtk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install xara-gtk using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install xara-gtk
How To Uninstall xara-gtk on Debian 9
To uninstall only the xara-gtk package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove xara-gtk
Uninstall xara-gtk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall xara-gtk and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove xara-gtk
Remove xara-gtk Configurations and Data
To remove xara-gtk configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xara-gtk
