What is x2goserver

X2Go is a server based computing environment with - session resuming - low bandwidth support - session brokerage support - client side mass storage mounting support - client side printing support - audio support - authentication by smartcard and USB stick This package contains the main daemon and tools for X2Go server-side session administrations.

We can use yum or dnf to install x2goserver on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install x2goserver.

Install x2goserver on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install x2goserver using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install x2goserver

Install x2goserver on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install x2goserver using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install x2goserver

How To Uninstall x2goserver on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the x2goserver package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove x2goserver
