In this tutorial we learn how to install x2goplugin on CentOS 7.
What is x2goplugin
X2Go is a server-based computing environment with - session resuming - low bandwidth support - session brokerage support - client-side mass storage mounting support - client-side printing support - audio support - authentication by smartcard and USB stick X2Go Client is a graphical client for the X2Go system. You can use it to connect to running sessions and start new sessions. This package provides X2Go Client as QtBrowser-based Mozilla plugin.
We can use yum or dnf to install x2goplugin on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install x2goplugin.
Install x2goplugin on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install x2goplugin using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install x2goplugin
Install x2goplugin on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install x2goplugin using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install x2goplugin
How To Uninstall x2goplugin on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the x2goplugin package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove x2goplugin
