How To Install x2goclient on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install x2goclient on Kali Linux.
What is x2goclient
x2goclient is:
X2Go is a serverbased computing environment with - session resuming - low bandwidth support - session brokerage support - client-side mass storage mounting support - client-side printing support - audio support - authentication by smartcard and USB stick
X2Go Client is a graphical client (Qt5) for the X2Go system. You can use it to connect to running sessions and start new sessions.
There are three methods to install x2goclient on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install x2goclient Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install x2goclient using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install x2goclientInstall x2goclient Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install x2goclient using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install x2goclientInstall x2goclient Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install x2goclient using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install x2goclientHow To Uninstall x2goclient on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the x2goclient package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove x2goclientUninstall x2goclient And Its Dependencies
To uninstall x2goclient and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove x2goclientRemove x2goclient Configurations and Data
To remove x2goclient configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge x2goclientRemove x2goclient configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove x2goclient configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge x2goclientDependencies
