How To Install wyrd on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is wyrd
wyrd is:
Wyrd acts as an ncurses-based frontend for remind, a scheduler application featuring sophisticated date calculation, moon phases, sunrise/sunset, Hebrew calendar, alarms, multilingual messages, and proper handling of holidays.
Wyrd displays reminders on a browsable time table along with a calendar and lets the user create new timed or untimed reminders. Using the remind backend, it is possible to convert the calendar to PostScript for printing and to synchronize it with Palm handhelds.
There are three methods to install wyrd
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wyrd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install wyrd
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wyrd

After updating apt database, We can install wyrd
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install wyrd
Install wyrd Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install wyrd
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install wyrd
How To Uninstall wyrd on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the wyrd
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wyrd
Uninstall wyrd And Its Dependencies
To uninstall wyrd
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove wyrd
Remove wyrd Configurations and Data
To remove wyrd
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge wyrd
