How To Install wyrd on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install wyrd on Kali Linux.
What is wyrd
wyrd is:
Wyrd acts as an ncurses-based frontend for remind, a scheduler application featuring sophisticated date calculation, moon phases, sunrise/sunset, Hebrew calendar, alarms, multilingual messages, and proper handling of holidays.
Wyrd displays reminders on a browsable time table along with a calendar and lets the user create new timed or untimed reminders. Using the remind backend, it is possible to convert the calendar to PostScript for printing and to synchronize it with Palm handhelds.
There are three methods to install wyrd on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wyrd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wyrd using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wyrdInstall wyrd Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wyrd using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install wyrdInstall wyrd Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wyrd using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install wyrdHow To Uninstall wyrd on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the wyrd package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wyrdUninstall wyrd And Its Dependencies
To uninstall wyrd and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove wyrdRemove wyrd Configurations and Data
To remove wyrd configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge wyrdRemove wyrd configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove wyrd configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge wyrdDependencies
