How To Install wxGTK3-gl on CentOS 7

What is wxGTK3-gl
OpenGL (a 3D graphics API) add-on for the wxWidgets library. wxWidgets is the GTK port of the C++ cross-platform wxWidgets GUI library, offering classes for all common GUI controls as well as a comprehensive set of helper classes for most common application tasks, ranging from networking to HTML display and image manipulation.
We can use yum or dnf to install wxGTK3-gl on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install wxGTK3-gl.
Install wxGTK3-gl on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install wxGTK3-gl using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install wxGTK3-gl
Install wxGTK3-gl on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install wxGTK3-gl using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install wxGTK3-gl
How To Uninstall wxGTK3-gl on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the wxGTK3-gl package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove wxGTK3-gl
