How To Install wrk on Kali Linux

What is wrk
wrk is:
wrk is a modern HTTP benchmarking tool capable of generating significant load when run on a single multi-core CPU. It combines a multithreaded design with scalable event notification systems such as epoll and kqueue.
An optional LuaJIT script can perform HTTP request generation, response processing, and custom reporting.
There are three methods to install wrk
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wrk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install wrk
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wrk

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install wrk
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install wrk
Install wrk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install wrk

How To Uninstall wrk on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the wrk
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wrk
