How To Install wordplay on Ubuntu 18.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install wordplay
on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is wordplay
wordplay is:
Wordplay generates anagrams of words. For example, “Debian” = “Bendai” (with an Italian Dictionary) or “Debani” (with an Catalan Dictionary).
Does not support UTF-8, empty spaces, accents and non-Latin characters.
There are three methods to install wordplay
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wordplay Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install wordplay
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install wordplay

How To Uninstall wordplay on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the wordplay
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wordplay
Uninstall wordplay And Its Dependencies
To uninstall wordplay
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove wordplay
Remove wordplay Configurations and Data
To remove wordplay
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge wordplay
Remove wordplay configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove wordplay
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge wordplay
