How To Install wordnet on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install wordnet on Kali Linux.
What is wordnet
wordnet is:
WordNet(C) is an on-line lexical reference system whose design is inspired by current psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory. English nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are organized into synonym sets, each representing one underlying lexical concept. Different relations link the synonym sets.
WordNet was developed by the Cognitive Science Laboratory at Princeton University under the direction of Professor George A. Miller (Principal Investigator).
WordNet is considered to be the most important resource available to researchers in computational linguistics, text analysis, and many related areas.

There are three methods to install wordnet on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wordnet Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wordnet using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wordnetInstall wordnet Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wordnet using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install wordnetInstall wordnet Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wordnet using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install wordnetHow To Uninstall wordnet on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the wordnet package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wordnetUninstall wordnet And Its Dependencies
To uninstall wordnet and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove wordnetRemove wordnet Configurations and Data
To remove wordnet configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge wordnetRemove wordnet configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove wordnet configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge wordnetDependencies
