How To Install wordnet-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install wordnet-dev on Kali Linux.
What is wordnet-dev
wordnet-dev is:
WordNet(C) is an on-line lexical reference system whose design is inspired by current psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory. English nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are organized into synonym sets, each representing one underlying lexical concept. Different relations link the synonym sets.
WordNet was developed by the Cognitive Science Laboratory at Princeton University under the direction of Professor George A. Miller (Principal Investigator).

There are three methods to install wordnet-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wordnet-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wordnet-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wordnet-devInstall wordnet-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wordnet-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install wordnet-devInstall wordnet-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wordnet-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install wordnet-devHow To Uninstall wordnet-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the wordnet-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wordnet-devUninstall wordnet-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall wordnet-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove wordnet-devRemove wordnet-dev Configurations and Data
To remove wordnet-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge wordnet-devRemove wordnet-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove wordnet-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge wordnet-devDependencies
