How To Install wmlongrun on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install wmlongrun on Kali Linux.
What is wmlongrun
wmlongrun is:
WMLongRun is a program to monitor LongRun. It displays the current LongRun(tm) settings and status: the frequency, the LongRun(tm) flags (performance or economy), and the performance level (expressed as a percentile). It is a dockapp (dockable application) that is supported by X window managers such as Window Maker, AfterStep, BlackBox, and Enlightenment.
It has two user interfaces: an LCD look-alike user interface and an LED-interface. If you select the LCD-interfaces, the back-light may be turned on/off by clicking the mouse button over the application.
There are three methods to install wmlongrun on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wmlongrun Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wmlongrun using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wmlongrunInstall wmlongrun Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wmlongrun using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wmlongrun using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install wmlongrunHow To Uninstall wmlongrun on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the wmlongrun package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wmlongrunUninstall wmlongrun And Its Dependencies
To uninstall wmlongrun and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove wmlongrunRemove wmlongrun Configurations and Data
To remove wmlongrun configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge wmlongrunRemove wmlongrun configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove wmlongrun configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
