Wmbutton displays nine buttons which can be configured through a config file. Each button can be assigned up to three commands (one per mouse button). It is intended as a dockapp for X window managers such as Window Maker (wmaker package), AfterStep, BlackBox, and Enlightenment.

There are three methods to install wmbutton on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install wmbutton Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install wmbutton using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install wmbutton

Install wmbutton Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install wmbutton using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install wmbutton

Install wmbutton Using aptitude
