wifite is:

Wifite is a tool to audit WEP or WPA encrypted wireless networks. It uses aircrack-ng, pyrit, reaver, tshark tools to perform the audit.

This tool is customizable to be automated with only a few arguments and can be trusted to run without supervision.

There are three methods to install wifite on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install wifite Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install wifite using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install wifite

After updating apt database, We can install wifite using apt by running the following command:

Install wifite Using aptitude

How To Uninstall wifite on Ubuntu 18.04

sudo apt-get -y autoremove wifite

To remove wifite configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge wifite
