How To Install wifi-qr on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install wifi-qr on Kali Linux.
What is wifi-qr
wifi-qr is:
Xiaomi Android phones has started using QR to use WiFi for sharing. The idea was to get started with Bash, from Android to PC or PC to Mobile, and use Interface for zenity, QR for zbar and qrencode, and nmcli from Network-Manager for Network. For security, you can use WPA, WPA2, WEP, Open and share with the Hidden Network. QR code does not support LDAP Network and VPN. Android can easily generate WiFi QR, but iOS isn’t quite so sure.
There are three methods to install wifi-qr on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wifi-qr Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wifi-qr using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wifi-qrInstall wifi-qr Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wifi-qr using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install wifi-qrInstall wifi-qr Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install wifi-qr using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install wifi-qrHow To Uninstall wifi-qr on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the wifi-qr package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove wifi-qrUninstall wifi-qr And Its Dependencies
To uninstall wifi-qr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove wifi-qrRemove wifi-qr Configurations and Data
To remove wifi-qr configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge wifi-qrRemove wifi-qr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove wifi-qr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge wifi-qrDependencies
