XawTV is a set of software for watching and recording television channels and webcams.

This package provides an utility that captures images from a video4linux device such as bttv, annotates them and uploads them to a webserver in an endless loop using FTP or SSH.

There are three methods to install webcam on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install webcam Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install webcam using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install webcam

Install webcam Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install webcam using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install webcam

Install webcam Using aptitude
