How To Install wcd on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install wcd on Debian 12.
What is wcd
wcd is:
Wcd (Wherever Change Directory) is a program to quickly change directories. It saves time typing at the keyboard. One needs to type only a part of a directory name and wcd will jump to it. By default, wcd searches for a directory with a name that begins with what has been typed, but the use of wildcards is also fully supported.
There are three methods to install wcd on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wcd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install wcd using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wcd
