How To Install watchman on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install watchman on Kali Linux.
What is watchman
watchman is:
Watchman can be used to watch files and record when they actually change. It can be used to trigger actions (such as rebuilding assets) when matching files change. If you require to perform an action based on whether a file changes or not, watchman may be the tool you need. By giving watchman a pattern and an action to take when the files change, you can trigger an activity to be taken.
There are three methods to install watchman on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install watchman Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install watchman using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install watchmanInstall watchman Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install watchman using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install watchmanInstall watchman Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the watchman package we can use the following command:

To uninstall watchman and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove watchmanRemove watchman Configurations and Data
To remove watchman configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge watchmanRemove watchman configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
