What is watcher-applier

watcher-applier is:

OpenStack Watcher provides a flexible and scalable resource optimization service for multi-tenant OpenStack-based clouds. Watcher provides a complete optimization loop-including everything from a metrics receiver, complex event processor and profiler, optimization processor and an action plan applier. This provides a robust framework to realize a wide range of cloud optimization goals, including the reduction of data center operating costs, increased system performance via intelligent virtual machine migration, increased energy efficiency-and more!

This package contains the Watcher Applier.

There are three methods to install watcher-applier on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install watcher-applier Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install watcher-applier using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install watcher-applier

Install watcher-applier Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install watcher-applier using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install watcher-applier

Install watcher-applier Using aptitude
