How To Install voro++ on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install voro++ on CentOS 7.
What is voro++
Voro++ is a software library for carrying out three-dimensional computations of the Voronoi tessellation. A distinguishing feature of the Voro++ library is that it carries out cell-based calculations, computing the Voronoi cell for each particle individually. It is particularly well-suited for applications that rely on cell-based statistics, where features of Voronoi cells (e.g. volume, centroid, number of faces) can be used to analyze a system of particles.
We can use yum or dnf to install voro++ on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install voro++.
Install voro++ on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install voro++ using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install voro++
Install voro++ on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install voro++ using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install voro++
How To Uninstall voro++ on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the voro++ package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove voro++
